Experiencing Egypt: From Hurgada to the Pyramids
Adventure in Egypt – Discovering Beauty Along the Nile
Capturing Cairo was one of my photographic goals this year. The dream of an exotic trip to Egypt became a reality! Our (me, Inga, Ela and Daria) journey to this magical country was full of experiences, and Egypt proved to be a place that gracefully combines history, culture, and breathtaking landscapes. It was a unique adventure that provided us with unforgettable moments.
Hurgada – Our Starting Point
Hurgada was our starting point, but we didn’t limit ourselves to the typical beach holiday. We decided to explore this place in a completely different way. Exploring Hurgada on our own allowed us to experience both the touristy and local sides of this location. Exploring side streets and talking to the locals helped us understand how Egyptians live on a daily basis.
Meeting Egyptians
Unforgettable moments during our trip were the meetings with local residents. Despite cultural differences, we were welcomed with open arms (or wallets). What surprised us was the warmth and hospitality of the Egyptians. Even if we didn’t speak the same language, smiles and friendliness transcended language barriers.
However, not everything went smoothly. Sometimes, we were treated as “ATMs,” but we didn’t give in. Our adventurous spirit helped us deal with such situations and focus on the positive aspects.
The Pyramids in Giza – Fulfilling Dreams
Of course, the highlight of our adventure was visiting the pyramids in Giza. This majestic structure exceeded our expectations. Standing in front of the pyramids, which are an icon of Egypt, is a dream come true for any traveler. It was an adventure and a valuable experience for another reason (but I’ll tell you more about it on my blog 🙂).
Adventurers, Not Tourists
Our journey was exceptional because we weren’t just ordinary tourists. We wanted to discover the real face of Egypt and its people. Traveling allows you to break cultural barriers and enrich yourself with new experiences. This message is reflected in the article from polish magazine “Zwierciadło” – life is too short not to take risks.
Conclusion
Our trip to Egypt was full of challenges, but at the same time, it was full of rewards. Egypt is a country rich in history, culture, and nature. Thanks to our courage and openness, we were able to discover the true beauty of Egypt and meet extraordinary people (Thank you, Ahmed, for your hospitality, and thank you Moustafa for everything). This experience will forever remain in our hearts and will be an inspiration for future journeys. I will definitely return to Egypt!
