Our never-fly-to-Egypt lady wound up on an all-inclusive Egyptian misadventure in 2023, due to some insistent colleague peer pressure. Roaring winds, a clingy culture to badger for tips, a not-so-inviting local attitude, and a perilous travel-code called ‘cross-the-street-if-you-can’ greeted her amidst Instagram-friendly landscapes, clear sea water and sandy beaches.
